Jan Crouch Dead: TBN Co-Founder Dies At 78, Televangelists, Ministers And Musicians Respond

Jan Crouch, who co-founded the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) with her husband Paul Crouch, is dead at 78. Her son and daughter-in-law Matt and Laurie Crouch released a statement on May 31, announcing the death of Jan Crouch following a massive stroke. The statement is posted on Matt and Laurie’s official blog and features a photo of televangelist Oral Roberts laying hands on Jan Crouch . The photo is one of many that feature Jan Crouch throughout the years as she and her husband Paul led the TBN network and brought their ministry across the globe. Crouch was born on March 14, 1938. Televangelists, ministers, and musicians took to social media to share their sympathy and send their thoughts to the Crouch family.

A portion of the statement released by Matt and Laurie Crouch reads as follows.

“Laurie and I have just watched the transition of our precious Mother from this world to the next; watched her step into the presence of Jesus and into her heavenly reward. Jan Crouch, known around the world as Momma Jan, has gone home.

“Those who battled for the Kingdom of God knew her as a fighter — someone who didn’t give up, someone who fought relentlessly to get the Gospel around the world.”

Many televangelists, ministers, and musicians associated with TBN have spoken publicly about the death of Jan Crouch. Donnie McClurkin posted the following message on Twitter.

Televangelist Rod Parsley released the following statement.

Televangelist Benny Hinn announced a home-going service for Jan Crouch on his Twitter account.

Pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas, Bishop T.D. Jakes and his wife Serita Jakes also tweeted their sympathy and gratitude to the Crouch family for all that Jan Crouch had accomplished through TBN.

Dr. Cindy Trimm released a statement regarding the news that Jan Crouch had died through Twitter She stated the following.

“It is with a deep sense of sadness that I send sincere condolences to the Crouch and the TBN family in transition to glory of a matriarch, trailblazer and the co-founder of TBN, Mrs. Jan Crouch. Our hearts have been forever touched and impacted deeply by her love for God, her heart for the world, and an undaunted commitment to the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her legacy will forever live on in our hearts. I’m grateful for her life as a pioneer and giant in the faith. As a trailblazer, she paved the way for many. May her soul rest in Peace.
