Adam and Hannah on the HBO television series Girls may have an on-again off-again troubled relationship, but the same can’t be said for the Girls’ actor Adam Driver.
It’s being reported that Adam Driver married his longtime girlfriend Joanne Tucker over the weekend. In attendance was Girls co-star Lena Dunham, who plays his on-screen love interest on the show. Dunham attended the wedding with her boyfriend and Fun front man Jack Antonoff.
Obviously having Driver’s wedding on the brain, Dunham tweeted to her Twitter followers on Sunday:
“Some wedding aren’t great. but I’ve just never been disappointed by a funeral.’
Adam Driver, who has risen to somewhat of a celebrity-status since debuting on the show Girls , keeps his love life under wraps. However, according Us Weekly , the couple “are very sweet together. They’ve been dating forever, years, and live together; [they’re] very comfortable and in love. She was with him before the Girls fame.”
The actor opened up about his love life to Interview magazine . This was right before Girls debuted. Starting out as a theater boy, Driver spoke to the magazine about his life in Brooklyn.
Driver said of the expense it is to live in New York: “Me and my girlfriend have these conversations all the time. We’re kind of obsessed with HGTV, and we were watching House Hunters the other night and it’s like you can buy a palace for what a single room costs here.”
The only other mention of Driver and his now wife Joanne Tucker, was during a second interview for Interview magazine , where the journalist brought up seeing the couple grab Japanese food.
Not only do the two live together in their Brooklyn Heights apartment, but they also share a mutual love for the arts. Last year the newlyweds appeared in indie drama Gayby .
