General Hospital fans can rejoice, as today is the day William deVry is back onscreen as Julian Jerome. It has been several weeks since he was last seen. There were contract negotiations going on that prevented him from filming. General Hospital and deVry came to an agreement, and he signed a three-year deal a few months ago. Since then, Julian has been in prison and offscreen. Now, he has been badly beaten, and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is going to get word about his condition.

Port Charles has a lot of changing faces, and November sweeps are bringing more characters back into the fold. General Hospital writers are going to reincorporate William deVry as Julian, and that should give hope to “Julexis” (Julian and Alexis) fans. According to TV Insider , William deVry says fans shouldn’t give up on their favorite couple. There has been a lot of unhappy fans since the General Hospital writers tore the couple apart. Hope for a reconciliation has been there, but now, it looks like a legitimate possibility for the couple. First, though, Julian Jerome will have to get out of prison. There were some hints that the General Hospital writers have a few tricks up their sleeves. This is exciting news for those who ship “Julexis” and have held out hope for what seems like forever.

William deVry does admit that there are some fans out there who won’t be able to forgive the things Julian did to Alexis on General Hospital . In fact, he is less concerned about that than he is about letting the reconciliation play out the right way. Domestic violence is a hot topic, and some “Julexis” fans jumped ship when the writers took things that route. The storyline was disappointing for the loyal fans, especially because it was done to write Tonja Walker (Olivia Jerome) into General Hospital . She has since left the canvas, and now, deVry and Grahn are left to pick up the pieces and work on getting their coupling adored once again.

The next several months are up in the air for Julian Jerome. General Hospital fans will have to wait for the reconciliation to play out, which is something William deVry teases. There may be more Alexis and Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) scenes before “Julexis” comes together. Fans have to find out how Julian gets out of prison and figure out where he goes from there. He will be around General Hospital for three more years, but there is hope that most of that time will be spent in love with Alexis and not in another weird storyline.
