The Daft Punk helmets photo is creating a scandal in the music world. But is the Daft Punk helmets photo a fake scandal?

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , the Daft Punk helmets are a symbol that represent an electronic music band. The newest Daft Punk album became available via Spotify streaming only three weeks ago.

The Daft Punk helmets scandal began when electronic music duo the Knocks posted a picture of them playing beer pong with Daft Punk at the office of Columbia records. The real names of Daft Punk are Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, but they’re almost never seen without their Daft Punk helmets.

The Knocks posted the Daft Punk without helmets photo to Facebook with the caption: “Daft Punk playing champagne beer pong (without helmets on) in the Sony offices.”

Apparently someone thought this was a big no-no since the Daft Punk helmets photo was quickly deleted by The Knocks only to post another message saying, “Guess we weren’t supposed to post that pic :X”

Sure, the electronic duo prefers their Daft Punk helmets to represent their persona, but it seems like this potential Daft Punk helmets scandal is being overly hyped. After all, if you google search for their names you can find Daft Punk without helmets fairly easily.

Still, it seems they prefer the Daft Punk helmets to represent them instead of being hounded as celebrities:

“The robots are famous, we’re not. We’re allowed to have a normal life like regular people and interact normally with people without so much of a fake situation. That’s really important to us.”

Do you think the Daft Punk without helmets photo is being overhyped?
