Was Courtney Stodden nude on Capitol Hill as she was serving veggie dogs? No, she was wearing a lettuce bikini, but it was for a cause.
Most celebrities usually go almost nude just to show off their body at the beach, and some regular women even walk around topless to promote women’s equality. That’s not why Stodden was wearing little more than a vegetable in the home of U.S. politics, however.
The model and singer was serving up the soy dogs scantly clad to promote animal rights . She is betting that showing some skin will bring more people to ask her why, and she’ll be more than happy to tell you. The veggie dogs are also serving a purpose, using National Hot Dog Day as an excuse to prove her point in a way that PETA obviously won’t mind.
In one interview, the “Don’t Put it On Me” singer stated:
“I think that most people would get kind of sick if they would see what the pigs go through. I don’t think it’s asking a lot to have people consider what they’re eating. I think it’s asking a lot of an animal to be abused and to satisfy your own appetite.”
Some might think Courtney Stodden, nude or not, is missing the point. The way animals are processed for meat is gruesome, and that is the very reason why it’s illegal to film the production or even take photos . It’s called the Ag Gag Law.

Stodden expanded on her point against animal cruelty and other issues, promoting her edible wares. We imagine onlookers weren’t paying so much attention to her facts when she stated:
“Veggie dogs are delicious and kinder to animals, the environment, and our health than artery-clogging, meaty hot dogs are. The choice is easy to make!”
