Donald Trump confirmed all the reports surrounding Pam Bondi’s exit as the Attorney General, on Thursday and revealed in a social media post that she will be moving to an important “private sector role.” Bondi’s term as the 87th Attorney General was brief and constantly filled with controversies. Todd Blanche will be taking over as the interim Attorney General.
Pam Bondi shared a long note after the news broke and she wrote in an X (formerly Twitter) entry, “Over the next month, I will be working tirelessly to transition the office of Attorney General to the amazing Todd Blanche before moving to an important private sector role I am thrilled about, and where I will continue fighting for President Trump and this Administration.”

Pam Bondi gave a shout-out to President Trump in her lengthy social media post and continued, “Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honour of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history.”
Bondi listed her achievements, signing off on the post. “Since February 2025, we have secured the lowest murder rate in 125 years, secured first-ever terrorism convictions against members of Antifa, shattered domestic and transnational gangs across the country, taken custody of more than 90 key cartel figures, and won 24 favorable rulings at the Supreme Court,” an excerpt from Bondi’s note read.
She once again praised President Trump, adding, “I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again.”
Hours after the news of her being fired surfaced, Pam Bondi shared a post on X, documenting how she spent her day at work along with a few pictures and a caption that read, “Spent today partnering with local sheriffs and the NFL Hall of Fame to promote the National Child ID Kit program, which helps parents get their children’s identifying information to law enforcement IMMEDIATELY. This initiative will save lives and find kids. That’s the most important thing law enforcement can do: protect the most vulnerable among us.”

Todd Blanche, who will be filling in Pam Bondi’s role, also penned a note for her. “Pam Bondi led this Department with strength and conviction, and I’m grateful for her leadership and friendship,” it read.
Much like Bondi, Blanche also acknowledged Trump in his post and further wrote, “Thank you to President Trump for the trust and the opportunity to serve as Acting Attorney General. We will continue backing the blue, enforcing the law, and doing everything in our power to keep America safe.”
Announcing the big news on social media, Donald Trump referred to Bondi as “a loyal friend” and a great American Patriot.” Without revealing any details on Pam’s new role, Trump said, “We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future.”
In his note, Donald Trump referred to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche as “a very talented and respected Legal Mind.”
