Two men from Florida were arrested after their plans to bomb the White House came to light. The men also spoke about carrying out a mass shooting, according to their social media activity. They were taken into custody after one of their girlfriend notified the authorities.
Isaiah Oglesby and James Thomas Goolsby got in trouble with the law after claiming that they wanted to blow up the White House. The 23 and 25-year-olds were taken into custody on Monday for making terroristic threats.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was warned about a potential mass shooting by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. One of the men’s girlfriends was who reported her boyfriend to the authorities after being alarmed by his social media posts.
“Wanna plan an attack?” Oglesby allegedly texted Goolsby. Oglesby also noted how he was “radicalizing” his son to never trust the government. He went on to add how he wanted Capitol Hill to be a “bloodbath of every corrupt politician.”

“So, when are we going to bomb the White House?” Oglesby asked Goolsby. “Totally, dude, skibidi massacre,” Goolsby allegedly replied, signaling that he was in on the plan. Goolsby also noted how he “hates” people and expressed his wish to “end everyone and blow the world up,” according to an affidavit. He also spoke about how he wants to “eradicate” people.
Goolsby further went on to say that he wished to “blow up” a mosque. The two men reportedly also shared videos of active shooters, according to WTVT. These conversations between the two took place in July 2024.

Oglesby and Goolsby were both arrested on Monday and charged with threatening communications and threats of mass shooting. Isaiah Oglesby, who was required to appear in court, was given a $150,000 bond on his charges. He will be required to be outfitted with a GPS monitor if he is bailed out.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is taking necessary steps to make sure the man does not have access to any weapons following his comments. Oglesby was given a Risk Protection Order. The order is put in place to make sure that an individual’s access to firearms is restricted when they show signs of being a threat.
James Goolsby, who appeared in Pinellas County Court, and given a $200,000 bond considering his charges. Goolsby will also be expected to wear a GPS monitor if he is bailed out.
