As the Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert divorce continues its mainstay in headlines this week, another rumor was set afire a few weeks ago that was seemingly put out by one of Blake’s backup singers.
As Fox 411 reports in its latest coverage on the divorce, things have become a “he said/she said” with Shelton and Lambert. There are numerous rumors out that Miranda had an affair with Chris Young , another country singer. Young shot a message out on Twitter blasting those rumors — saying that he is not the reason for the couple’s divorce. He said that, with him being friends with both Shelton and Lambert, that he’d never do anything to interfere with that.
An interview was given by a former Voice contestant and current backup singer of Blake’s — Gwen Sebastian. She had also been named as a woman that he had an affair with. The performer, who is married to drummer Louis Newman, denied the allegations.
“Honestly, I just don’t even look at any of rumors. We all think it’s silly and stupid and we love each other. I don’t know how I can pay back Miranda and Blake — they’re just cool people and I love them.”
It was after the battle round on The Voice that Sebastian’s former coach asked her to join Shelton on tour. She was reportedly “welcomed into the Shelton family.”
“After the battle rounds, [Blake] had asked me to come out on the road and join him and it was a jaw dropper moment but it wasn’t a hard decision.”
TMZ reports, in the meantime, that the Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert divorce is more bitter than they let on. The report claims that Shelton made Lambert get her exotic animals off his ranch the very next day after the judge finalized the divorce.
There have been rumors all along that it was Blake cheating on his wife. It seems since that since their divorce was publicly announced, Shelton is rumored to believe Lambert cheated on him. There’s a lot of mudslinging in the divorce, going by reports. The New York Post reported that one of the factors in the superstar couple’s divorce had to do with Lambert not wanting children .
A New York Post source cited their differences on having kids.
“He is eager to have children, but she really enjoys not being tied down. I think they both were off on what the time frame would be.”
