Is Beyonce dead?
During her performance at Tidal X: 1015, Beyonce reportedly sustained a cut on her ear from her ponytail, which led to rumors that the singer had died of excessive bleeding.
Fortunately, the death hoax was unfounded. But that hasn’t stopped the rumor from running rampant across the internet.

The rumor appears to have started with a fake Facebook post proclaiming that Beyonce had died on Oct. 18 as a result of excessive bleeding, which began with the cut on her ear. As is the case with many death hoaxes posted to Facebook, the Beyonce death hoax post is believed to be a malicious app fishing for personal information from Facebook users. As such, we have opted not to link to the post here.
The text of the Beyonce death hoax image can be found elsewhere, however. According to the Aussie News Network , the app claimed that Beyonce died at about 11 a.m.
At about 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday (October 18, 2016), our beloved singer Beyoncé passed away. Beyoncé was born on September 4, 1981, in Houston. She will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”
According to Hollywood Life, the Facebook post referencing Beyonce’s death had garnered more than one million reactions since it had been posted on Oct. 18.

According to The Gamers Drop , fans flipped when they saw the blood on Beyonce’s ear, but the Crazy in Love singer continued with her song, singing “Haunted” until the end. Later, Queen Bey appeared at an after party, proving that she is alive and well , the website wrote.
“Thankfully, the Beyonce dead rumors are untrue since the star even appeared during the black carpet post-concert. And like nothing happened, the queen looked as glamorous as always with a tight-fitting black dress and a new pair of earrings.”

Nevertheless, Twitter users flipped out at the rumors of Beyonce’s death, helping the death hoax to spread across the internet like wildfire.

This isn’t the first time a Beyonce death hoax has spread across the internet. Back in February of 2015, a fake CNN-like article reported that Beyonce had died in a “ghastly car accident” as she returned from a meeting with one of her music executives. Obviously, that death rumor turned out to be fake, as well.
Beyonce has made headlines across the internet during the past week after Kanye West called out the pop superstar and her husband, Jay-Z, for reportedly failing to support Kim Kardashian in her recovery after her Paris robbery. Additionally, reports have indicated that Kanye is still angry with Beyonce and Jay-Z for skipping his wedding to Kardashian.
Beyonce is just the most recent celebrity to be subject to an internet death hoax. In recent months, social media users have seen Brad Pitt , Miley Cyrus , John Cena and many others “dead” as a result of these hoaxes. Fortunately, none of the celebrities subject to hoaxes have actually passed away.
