Congratulations to How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam. The two just announced that they are expecting their second child together.
Smulders rep confirmed the exciting news to People Magazine . The two already have a 5-year-old daughter, Shalyn Cado, together. The pair, 32, were together for years before they decided to tie the knot in September of 2012.
These days Smulders is very busy coming off of her long running hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother . She’s starred in Captain America: The Winter Soldier , and has appeared on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. several times. Additionally, she is wrapped on Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron , which should be out at some point in the spring.
Meanwhile, Taran Killam has been busy at work on the new season of Saturday Night Live . Earlier in the year Killam shared what impersonation drives Smulders wild. “She likes a Scottish accent. This is a real thing.”
Back in 2009 Cobie was open to talking about her new role as Mommy. At the time she told OK! about it.
“It’s a lot of work and I feel extremely grateful because my job allows me a lot of flexibility and freedom.”
She continued to explain how her role as mother gave her an insight to her own childhood and how being raised by a single mother is a role she appreciated, even though she has Killam.
“I definitely have so much, not like I didn’t have it before, but I have so much respect for single moms. My mom had four kids two years apart and even that blows my mind.”
“My fiancé’s family is in the area so we have a lot of help, but without that I would be a crazy person.”
Although Smulders hasn’t publicly commented on the news, fans have been wishing the actress well on her second pregnancy.
