Now that McGregor vs. Mayweather is happening, it is being reported that some very strange conditions have been added to McGregor’s contract.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor will be a boxing match. One would therefore assume that the fight will take place according to the rules of boxing. According to USA Today , the f ight contract expressly forbids McGregor from kicking, or using his elbows, against Mayweather.
Of course, McGregor is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. Using his feet, shins, knees, and elbows, is natural for McGregor. His body is conditioned to use all the physical weapons at his disposal. Muscle memory, and natural instincts, could easily take over when McGregor fights, but his contract now forbids him from doing so. Given that the fight will not contain any aspect of MMA fighting, it is likely that McGregor will be disadvantaged against Mayweather whose entire career has been fought according to boxing rules.
There is no doubt that Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather will be seen as a showdown between boxing and MMA. Fight fans are desperate to see which sport comes out on top. Whatever the outcome of the fight, both McGregor and Mayweather will walk away with a significant boost to their net worth.
