This transforming apartment packs 8 rooms into a small 420-square-foot space.

According to Daily Mail , the apartment is the product of Graham Hill, entrepreneur and treehugger.com founder, to come up with an ideal New York apartment. The limitations of the project was that the apartment had to have a small footprint, both physically and environmentally, and one that offers just as much beauty and functionality as an apartment multiple times it’s size.

Hill’s Life Edited apartment is a constantly evolving space.

Even though the Life Edited apartment is completely liveable with very little compromises, Hill is constantly tinkering around and coming up with new ideas to streamline the already simplistic layout.

Gizmodo reports that when the pad looks like a normal, small studio apartment at first glance. But, when you look closer, that small pad transforms into eight functional spaces. The living room and office become the bedroom when you pull out the bookshelf.

If you open the closets, you will find 10 stackable chairs that go around a telescopic dining table that you can pull out for large dinner parties.

An entire guest room with bunk-beds and a closet will be revealed when you slide the wall towards the middle of the room.

The apartment even offers a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom in it’s small space.

The transforming apartment doesn’t only rely on proprietary architectural designs, but it is also uses a combination of furniture and wares from dozens of companies like Resource Furniture.

Everything within in the apartment has been chosen for it’s economy of space, design, and sustainability.

Below, is a video of Hill showing off his transforming apartment. What do you think?
