The US Title and WWE Championship are getting a lot of attention, but Charlotte is almost guaranteed to walk out of Detroit with the SmackDown Women’s Championship on her shoulder because WWE officials have major plans for her after WWE Hell in a Cell .
After Ric Flair’s health scare last month, Charlotte Flair returned to SmackDown Live with new sympathy from the WWE Universe. Since moving to “the blue brand” during the “Superstar Shake-up,” Charlotte has been transitioning into a strong babyface, but WWE fans’ admiration for The Nature Boy has given her new life on WWE programming and catapulted her into the Women’s Title match against Natalya this Sunday.
WWE officials are hoping a major title win at WWE Hell in a Cell can help cement Charlotte Flair as the top female babyface for the brand. There is some speculation about Carmella cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase sooner rather than later, which could be used on Sunday to “steal” the title and rob Charlotte and the WWE Universe of their big moment. Charlotte and Natalya have a lot of history together and their rivalry will continue into WWE Hell in a Cell this Sunday. It’s unclear what the future holds for “The Queen of Harts” on SmackDown Live , but her role will be to help Charlotte become the babyface that WWE officials want her to become. Charlotte vs. Natalya may continue after Hell in a Cell , but the expectation is something big is happening for them this Sunday.
