Mark McGrath of rock band Sugar Ray has gotten hitched to his longtime love Carin Kingsland.
People reports how the 44-year-old rocker married his partner of almost two decades in a ceremony on Monday morning. Mark McGrath told the magazine:
“After 18 years of breakups, makeups, beautiful twins and an unwavering love that provided some pretty damn good song lyrics, we are happy to announce that we are finally married!”
People says the loved-up couple tied the knot in front of roughly 60 family members and friends in a “colorful and chic” event in Southern California.
The pair have 2-year-old twins, son Lydon and daughter Hartley, and the kids served as the ring bearer and flower girl at the wedding.
This is the first time either McGrath and the 39-year-old Kingsland have been married. The couple were engaged when McGrath got down on one knee on New Year’s Eve 2009; the frontman popped the question at the L.A. club the Viper Room where the two first met in 1994.
They may have to get a move on with the honeymoon, though; Sugar Ray are due to hit the road for a South American tour in October. The new shows follow the band’s triumphant US summer tour with their fellow rockers Everclear, Lit, Gin Blossoms, and Marcy Playground.
