WrestleMania 33 was quite different from the great moments of John Cena’s career on the grandest stage of them all. He’s won championships, battled WWE legends, and more over the years on WWE’s biggest stage, but Orlando was all about love for John Cena. His proposal with Nikki Bella will go down in WWE history as one of the most romantic moments, but WWE officials are planning something familiar for Cena next year.

In New Orleans, the powers that be are planning for Cena to be involved in the WWE Universal Title Match at WrestleMania 34. There is a lot of speculation about there being a Fatal Four Way for the Universal Title at WWE Summerslam next month. Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Brock Lesnar all have a realistic chance to walk out of Brooklyn with the WWE Universal Championship after WWE Summerslam.

WWE officials have a major decision to make before that event, but the likelihood of the winner holding the Universal Title until the grandest stage of them all is high. On paper, Lesnar vs. Reigns is still penciled in for WrestleMania 34 , but WWE officials are thinking about John Cena facing either The Big Dog or The Beast Incarnate in New Orleans next year. It’s too early to tell who just yet, but Cena will be wrestling one of them.

Recently, it was rumored that Cena vs. Reigns could be the biggest match at WrestleMania 34 . That’s why a lot of rumors are circulating right now about WWE officials moving Lesnar vs. Reigns forward to the biggest party of the summer rather than waiting for next April. The WWE Universe has already seen John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar over the years. However, Cena vs. Reigns is a new rivalry that’s tailor made for WrestleMania.

John Cena hasn’t been involved in a WWE World Title Match at WrestleMania in five years. He’s had many great moments outside of the World Title hunt, but WWE officials are most likely planning for John Cena to break Ric Flair’s record on the grandest stage of them all. The powers that be could make a few changes and have John Cena compete for the WWE Title on SmackDown Live , but they will likely want Cena vs. Reigns.

Obviously, any changes that WWE officials are making regarding the Universal Title at WWE Summerslam will impact the card for the grandest stage of them all. The fans may be surprised that the powers that be are already thinking about WrestleMania considering this year’s event just happened. However, the fans should expect John Cena to be involved in the WWE Universal Championship Match next year in New Orleans.
