What is Adam Busby’s job? That’s the question fans of TLC’s OutDaughtered have been wondering ever since the premiere of the show that follows the lives of America’s only all-female quintuplets. And the Inquisitr is here to help you sort it all out.
As In Touch Weekly reports , the dad of the Busby clan actually has three sources of income: his day job, the money he makes from appearing on the show, and the income from his indoor cycling business. Since it’s his day job that has been something of a secret, we’ll start with that.
Like tens of millions of Americans who work a 9-5 in the corporate world, Adam Busby has a LinkedIn profile . According to his profile, he works at Intrinsic Solutions/Sprint Safety as an Account Manager. Sprint Safety’s website doesn’t really reveal much about the industry, but it appears that they manufacture industrial safety equipment. Busby sells that equipment to customers.
And he probably makes good money at it, too. According to Glassdoor.com, account managers in the Houston area make around $88,000 per year.
What’s more, Adam isn’t the only member of the family with a day job. Mom Danielle also has a job as an independent beauty consultant.
OK, so Adam has a pretty high-paying job, and Danielle has a career of her own. But of course, not everybody in America has six kids, and those bottles, diapers, and pediatrician’s visits add up. In fact, so tight was the money in the Busby household that, for the better part of the most recent season, Adam and Danielle agonized over how to bring in extra income. They settled on opening an indoor cycling shop — Rush Cycle in League City, Texas.

So is Rush Cycle profitable for the family? It’s too early to tell, as all businesses take a while to build up a customer base, and Rush Cycle has been open for less than a year.
Which brings us to the family’s third source of income: the money they get from TLC for appearing on the show. According to a June 2016 Business Insider report, reality TV stars can make anywhere from nothing (save for the joy of being on the camera) to millions of dollars per season, and everything in between . Considering that the Busby’s aren’t exactly the Kardashians, it’s unlikely that they’re bringing in millions. However, OutDaughtered is also a popular show, and obviously, the family is going to want a slice of that action, so it’s unlikely that they’re making zero either. Bottom line, who knows?
