Song Hye Kyo recently made it public that she is engaged with her Descendants Of The Sun costar, Song Joong Ki. Now, it has been revealed that the South Korean actress had a sleep over at her boyfriend’s house even before the couple got engaged. The revelation comes from none but Song Joong Ki’s father.
It was earlier believed that Joong Ki’s father was against this marriage. In a recent interview, the father of the groom has discussed his thoughts about his son’s life partner.
The father has revealed that Song Hye Kyo slept over at their family house even before the engagement. It happened while the Song-Song couple was shooting for the popular K-drama, Descendants of the Sun , where Hye Kyo plays a doctor who falls in love with army man Joong Ki.
Song Hye Kyo apparently spent the night at Song Joong Ki’s family house because the shooting was going on nearby. She was not the only one from the Descendants of the Sun cast to stay in the house that night. Kim Ji Won and Jin Goo also stayed in the house that night. In the K-drama, Kim Ji Won plays First Lieutenant Yoon Myung Ju and Jin Goo Master Sergeant Seo Dae Young.
According to Korea Portal , Joong Ki’s father denied in his interview with SBS FunE that he was against this marriage. He called it a misunderstanding. He said he would be looking forward to having grandchildren. According to him, it is Song Joong Ki’s best age to get married. He will turn 32 this September. In October, he is all set to get married to Hye Kyo, who will turn 36 in November.
There have been rumors about Song Hye Kyo’s pregnancy. It was reported by various local media outlets that the couple might be getting married because the actress is pregnant. Fans reacted to the rumor. Many of them said they would not be surprised if Hye Kyo is pregnant with Joong Ki’s child before marriage.
According to one of the readers of Korea Boo , it is common for Korean celebs to get pregnant and then get married. They apparently tie the knot before the baby bump starts getting visible, the reader said. Another reader doubted if there was real love between celeb couples. They might be together only to protect the child, according to the reader who called it “sad.”
Nevertheless, the United Artists Agency has called the pregnancy rumor as “groundless.”
