Behold, the gossip mill has created a new celebrity relationship! Rumor has it that recently-single Amy Poehler and comedian Nick Kroll are dating after the two were spotted together on Friday in Los Angeles.
We don’t know for sure whether it was a date or just a dinner between friends, but The New York Post spotted Poehler and Kroll out together last weekend . Poehler, 41, is recently single after splitting from husband Will Arnett in September after nine years of marriage together. Sources say that the Parks and Rec star looked “cozy” with 34-year-old Kroll as the two sat across from each other at a small table.
“No one really recognized them,” said an eavesdropper on the possible couple. Kroll has made a few guest appearances on Poehler’s Parks as one-half of shock jock radio team “Crazy Ira The Douche,” but is otherwise recognizable from stints on The League , The New Girl , and his own Comedy Central sketch program Kroll Show (which you must watch if you haven’t seen it).
According to the outlet, this actually isn’t Poehler’s first “date” with Kroll, but that doesn’t exactly mean they are dating per se.
Despite the very public breakup between Poehler and Arnett, the couple have reportedly remained “amicable,” and the split was said to be pretty drama-free and mutual. The former couple have two sons together, Archie and Abel.
In a 2011 interview with Katie Couric , Poehler admitted that she was “always attracted to funny people,” so it’s possible she could be interested in Kroll. Like we said above, if you haven’t seen Kroll Show , you absolutely must.
