Cissy Houston and her family have been in turmoil over the last several months following the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina Brown, and now, after a hearse was reportedly spotted at the hospice, Cissy is making headlines with her devotion to her granddaughter.
According to HollywoodLife , Cissy is in poor health and can’t leave her home to visit Bobbi, but has been calling every day and asking family members to hold the phone up to Bobbi’s ear.
Bobbi Kristina has been at the Peachtree Christian Hospice Center in Georgia for several weeks following a hospital stay that began on January 31, when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her home. Though there’s been much speculation regarding how she came to be in that state–and whether her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, had anything to do with it–it’s been unclear what condition Bobbi Kristina is in. However, several reports of a white privacy tent and a black hearse at the hospice have been published on the web, and fans are preparing themselves for the worst.
Actor and writer Tyler Perry, a close friend of the family, spoke up on Facebook about the rampant speculation and rumors online, asking the public to allow the Browns and Houstons to grieve in their own way.
“For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it. It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful. So much so, that they find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive. May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect?” Perry wrote.

As for Nick Gordon–who asserts that he had nothing to do with Bobbi Kristina’s condition–he was recently slapped with a $10 million lawsuit for allegedly posing as her husband in order to profit from her wealth, and also for reported physical abuse of Bobbi.
“The misrepresentation that Defendant was Brown’s ‘husband’ was used to control Brown and limit with whom she could interact. For example, Defendant often answered Brown’s personal cell phone, would not allow her to make appointments without his approval, and manipulated her bank relationship so that he could access her money. This was all part of a scheme to benefit from her wealth,” the lawsuit reads.
Cissy Houston said earlier this year that she prayed every day for Bobbi, and asked that fans do the same.
“I give it to God one time, because I know he’s able, and I cannot change a thing,” Cissy Houston said back in March. “So I’m asking everyone to pray to the Lord, who we know can do something about it.”
