Reese Witherspoon is brunette, trading in her trademark blonde locks and glamorous style for a new, simple look.
The 37-year-old actress was spotted in Nashville this weekend with husband Jim Toth as the parents headed out to get lunch with their eight-month-0ld son Tennessee.
As the pictures show, Reese Witherspoon wasn’t just brunette; she was also dressed down with minimal makeup and a loose ponytail that she later changed to a messy bun. The look was different than the normally glamorous actress fans are used to seeing on the red carpet, but she managed to still look great.
Reese Witherspoon has gone brunette before, at least professionally. The actress darkened her hair for her 2005 turn as June Carter Cash in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line (see picture above), a role that earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
On the work front, Reese Witherspoon may have a busy year ahead. She may be starring in a film adaptation of The Engagements , an upcoming novel from author J. Courtney Sullivan, and has already agreed to produce the film .
Set to reach bookstores in June of this year, The Engagements will tell “a deeply romantic story that follows a diamond engagement ring from the 1930s to the present, connecting five very different relationships in surprising and unexpected ways,” Deadline noted.
Meanwhile, Reese has some business at home to attend to. While she’s living in Nashville now, the actress is trying to unload the sprawling estate in California where she once lived.
The home in Ojai was originally listed on the market back in October for $10 million, but, after failing to get any interest, Reese lowered the price to $8.9 million. In late March, she cut the price again, changing the listing to $7.25 million.
