It’s been a big year for Jaden Smith. Since turning 18 last summer, the second-generation Hollywood star (son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith) has been embroiled in multiple faux internet death hoaxes, broken up with his long-term girlfriend (older lady Sarah Snyder), launched a line of environmentally friendly single-serving water, moved away from his parents posh California palace, and used his gender-bending fashion as a support system for gender-fluid and/or gender-questioning youth.
Today, Jaden Smith turns 19 years old, and he’s become a bonafide celebrity in his own right. Jaden is a rapper and singer, dancer and actor, model, and even an activist. While he’s often considered eccentric, Jaden Smith has used his presence and platform to advocate for the sad and disenfranchised, and his social media presence is a support system for many.
In the midst of all of his working and social activism, Jaden Smith has also amassed a decent fortune all his own.
All in all, it’s been a hugely successful year for Jaden Smith, so it’s no surprise that the now 19-year-old decided to ring in his birthday with all of the pomp, fanfare, and drama that the young Mr. Smith has become so famous and even renowned for.
Not to mention a little bit of the shirtless sexiness that has become Jaden Smith’s trademark.

As E! News reports, Jaden went out of his way to treat his super-fans to a concert on Friday night — Jaden Smith Birthday Eve, if you will. The big event took place at Sagebrush Cantina, a quaint Mexican eatery in Calabasas, California, and Jaden’s little sister Willow also performed at the pre-birthday bash. During the show, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were also watching from the audience.
Leading up to the big night, Jaden Smith used his Twitter feed and other social media accounts to promote the intimate birthday concert.

Jaden Smith took the stage first, stripping down to his skins and rapping. At one point, the restaurant audience got in on the entertainment, and video of Jaden’s performance was later shared on Instagram, treating the fans that couldn’t make it to California for the big event.

After Jaden showed off his rapping chops (and bare chest), little sister Willow took to the stage to perform a much more subdued acoustic set for her big brother’s 19th birthday.
While the Friday night pre-birthday concert was designed to celebrate all things Jaden Smith, he and his Hollywood royalty family weren’t the only famous faces to grace the venue. Jaden’s new ladylove Odessa Adlon was also spotted in the crowd, singing and cheering on her famous boyfriend on his big day.
Odessa has only been linked romantically to Jaden Smith for the last several months; the two reportedly became a couple shortly after he and his ex-girlfriend Sarah Snyder officially called it quits after nearly two years of dating
The restaurant where Jaden held his birthday concert is located in the same city as his childhood home, and friends and neighbors of the Smith family could be seen shaking hands and sharing their best wishes as the rowdy evening wound down.
