Justin Bieber Performs Phish Songs In Concert

Justin Bieber has gone to the Phishes. After taking in a Phish concert this summer with girlfriend Selena Gomez and guitarist Dan Kanter, the Biebs was spotted wearing a tie-dye shirt, and now he has apparently decided to taken on the jam band’s songs in concert by mashing them up for live performances.

Only one week after vomiting on stage , Justin Bieber was playing two separate concerts in Northern California when he broke out into “Divided Sky” during Thursday’s concert followed by “Love Me Like You Do” for Friday’s show.

Bieber also played around with “She Don’t Like the Lights,” “Sand,” and “First Tube.”

Justin Bieber can be seen performing “Divided Sky” at around 13:40 in the first video. It’s not the best quality video, and, like every Bieber concert, you have to listen through the throngs of high pitched screaming coming from his mostly female fan base.

Having watched both videos against my better judgement, I have to say I that am impressed that Justin Bieber might get a younger generation of kids to appreciate jam music. On the other hand, I could have done without a bunch of on-stage videos that were pretty nonsensical when it came to the overall performance. Watch the two videos below and judge for yourself.

Here’s the “Divided Sky” performance:

We also have the footage from Bieber’s “Sand” and “First Tube” performances which can be found at 4:32 and 5:35:

Perhaps Justin Bieber should stick to overly manufactured pop music for the time being.
