IHOP celebrates its anniversary of being in business for 58 years with 58-cent pancakes this Tuesday (July 12), from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Amazon Prime isn’t the only place to find deals today. IHOP is offering one stack of three pancakes per guest. The regular cost of a short stack of buttermilk pancakes at IHOP is $3.99.

New York’s Pix 11 reported that IHOP representatives are encouraging customers to use the hashtag #IHOP58th as they celebrate its 58th anniversary.

“It’s our way of saying thanks after 58 years of service.”

To see if your local diner is offering the short stack 58-cent anniversary special, you can visit IHOP’s website.

The promotion is dine-in only.

Last year, IHOP celebrated its 57th anniversary with 57-cent pancakes. It turned out to be such a success with their customers that they decided to continue the tradition this year. You can quite possibly count on 59-cent pancakes around this time next year.

IHOP also launched a successful new logo last year, giving customers one more reason to smile.

Do you see the smiley face with his little nose? Cute.

IHOP, or International House of Pancakes, opened its first location in Toluca Lake, California, in 1958. It wasn’t until the restaurant showed some success and began to expand a couple of years later that it was publicly traded under the name International House of Pancakes in 1961.

As of 2015, there were 1,650 restaurants in 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as in Bahrain, Canada, Dubai, Guatemala, Kuwait, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

After all, who doesn’t love pancakes?

Fun Fact: IHOP sells more than 700 million pancakes a year.

My FOX 8 disclosed that the promotional price of 58 cents is four cents less than what a stack of pancakes cost in 1958, when Al and Jerry Lapin, along with other partners, opened the first International House of Pancakes in the outer suburbs of Los Angeles.

IHOP celebrates its anniversary this year after almost six decades of successful business.

It was 1993 when the average IHOP restaurant exceeded $1 million. It was just five years later, in 1998, that system-wide sales for IHOP reached $1 billion.

This restaurant chain of diners has certainly found its way into the hearts and lives of millions of Americans.

Now, as IHOP celebrates its anniversary, they are showing some love and appreciation for their loyal customers.

It’s safe to say, IHOP has got quite a big wave of pancake-loving customers flowing in and out of their restaurants today.

IHOP has also celebrated National Pancake Day every year on March 8 and donates proceeds from the day to charity. 2016 was reported to be the most successful National Pancake Day ever, raising $3.9 million for charity.

Since the start of National Pancake Day back in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $24 million to support charities in the communities in which they operate.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million patient visits each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. Donations, including all those made on IHOP National Pancake Day, stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, and charitable care.

IHOP has proven to be a socially responsible company with superior family and community values. Their current slogan is “Come Together Over Breakfast, which encourages people to join together and conversate over a meal.

“It’s your breakfast place for a ‘come as you are’ meal like pancakes made just for you. But with the kind of special touches and fun twists you can’t get anywhere else –even at home.”

If you missed out this morning, don’t fret! There is always breakfast for dinner. Heck, why not all three meals?

Don’t miss out! Go brighten up your Tuesday with some yummy 58-cent pancakes as IHOP celebrates its anniversary all day long.
