According to CBS , there are multiple victims who endured stab wounds. The St. Cloud stabbing in Minnesota began shortly after 8 p.m. The St. Cloud Crossroads Mall was locked down for a period of time as police in St. Cloud swept the mall to ensure that the mall was secure in the wake of the stabbings.

One of the witnesses of the violence in St. Cloud was Ashley Bayne, an employee in the J.C. Penney store at the Crossroads Mall. Although Bayne had the evening off from her job at the mall, Ashley was still inside the St. Cloud mall because she was visiting a friend. Ashley was initially near the store inside the mall where she was an employee when Bayne described the melee and fear that followed as the stabbings began.

“I went closer to the mall entrance by J.C. Penney’s and I was looking at some jeans and all [of a] sudden people were just running in chaos. They were screaming, ‘Someone’s stabbing people in the mall,’ and people were just really frantic and were running. There were so many cop cars just responding to the area.

“When I got in my car to get out people were speeding out of there. By the time I left my coworker had texted me saying they had all gone into lockdown in the mall. There were no notifications in the mall at all, it was just people running and screaming.”

As reported by Heavy , folks within the St. Cloud mall turned to social media to report that they were hiding within the Crossroads Mall, and that authorities were disallowing people from exiting or entering the mall for a period of time.

An explosion in the Chelsea area of Manhattan, coupled with an explosion in New Jersey — joined by the stabbings in the mall in St. Cloud — made for one violent Saturday.

“With this attack in Minnesota and the bombing in Manhattan, tonight is another reminder that gun control cannot and will not stop those intent on hurting others.”

People could not stop themselves from wondering if all the violence was a coordinated type of terrorist attack in each of the locations. However, authorities stressed that it was too early to speculate on those concerns.

Facebook user Kimberly Dawn, like many others, wrote about her concern for the victims of the violence in the St. Cloud stabbings.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families in St. Cloud, Minnesota. My heart just aches. So thankful my family is safe.”

As reported by the Star Tribune, Hillary Clinton made a comment about the violence of the day, including the violence in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Whereas Donald Trump spoke to a crowd in Colorado Springs about a “bomb” in New York, Hillary cautioned that she needed to wait for further information about the attacks to come out before making assumptions about the violence.

Clinton did say she had been told about the New York and New Jersey explosions, as well as the attack in Minnesota. Hillary urged for prayer for the victims and to those responding to the scenes.

“We have to let this investigation unfold.”
