The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show officially aired on television today, prompting comedian Nicole Arbour to post a message for “curvy” girls.

Nicole took to Facebook live to share her message through a video . Within two hours, her post had over 80,000 views and 100 shares. In it, Arbour addresses body shaming and how it affects women of all sizes.

She states body shaming goes both ways and challenges female viewers to “enjoy the skinny girl parade for what it is,” as she refers to the VS Fashion Show. Nicole adds that tonight’s show features models that are generally tall, thin, athletic girls, and that being skinny doesn’t mean a woman isn’t healthy. Her main point was to keep “curvy” girls from body shaming the thin models, and said women of all sizes should just be friends.

“Curvy girls, thin girls, lets just all be friends.”

She said jokes like “only dogs like bones” are really not funny, and are— in fact— a way to body shame thin women. She ended her “mini rant” by saying “everybody just be chill tonight.” Facebook commenters seemed to agree with Nicole as they posted messages with a bit of humor, encouraging women to be kinder in light of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

“If all girls treated each other how they did in the bathroom while they were drunk, the world would be a better place!”

Other commenters expressed the “curvy” girl point of view.

“I think the issue is that there’s one type of body type on the VS fashion show runway, even though all sorts of women wear their products. Variety would be nice, but I digress.”

But Nicole was quick to respond in defense of Victoria’s Secret and its choice of models.

“But it’s their brand to promote how they want! Nike uses super athletic girls I’ll never look like, but I still buy their running shoes!”

Tonight’s Facebook video isn’t the first time Arbour commented on body shaming. The controversial YouTube star is infamously known for her “Dear Fat People” clip in which she says overweight people should be shamed until they quit their bad habits, as reported by Daily Mail . Nicole made headlines over the video as people expressed outrage, however, she has since reportedly admitted it was made only to further her career.

With almost 2 million page likes on Facebook and over 280,000 followers on Instagram, Nicole has proven to be a popular public figure, if not controversial. Arbour routinely comments on hot topics in her widely-viewed videos. In another of her latest posts, Nicole targets Tomi Lahren after she appeared on The Daily Show .

Arbour’s videos come with mixed reviews as social media comments both support and speak out against her rants.

“I just watched this video, hadn’t heard of you before seeing it to be honest, but now I think i might love you lol very on point!!!”

Nicole seems to make fans and enemies with every video she releases, and that includes her recent coverage of Tomi Lahren.

“I think you should stick to these videos. Tomi talks her mind, you talk your mind, but calling people out is just dumb and ignorant because of her political stand point and what she has to day on tv.”

In addition to these videos, Nicole has posted on topics from cultural appropriation to the Kardashians. Nicole keeps her fans updated with trending topics by lending her voice and opinions to the issues through her many videos. While some of them prove to be harmless, others have landed the blonde comedian in hot water. In fact, another YouTube star by the name of Freelee the Banana Girl launched a video in response to Nicole’s “Dear Vegans” post as she took offense.

It seems Arbour manages to keep people talking one way or another.
