A bold, brazen, and 22-week pregnant Keonna Green is setting the record straight regarding the affair that was the final straw in ending Iggy Azalea and Nick Young’s one-year-long engagement in June.
Sitting down with Us Weekly , the expectant mother, who is also raising Young’s son, 4-year-old Nick Jr., expressed to the entertainment publication that she and the L.A. Lakers shooting guard have quite a history together.
“Nick [Young] and I met in high school in 2002,” Green explained. “I [was a cheerleader], he played basketball. We kind of instantly connected. I actually had [a] crush on him first. My cheerleading squad, we had to do a secret Santa–type thing for the basketball players, so I basically went up to all the girls [and said], ‘Whoever has Nick, I want him.’ ”

From nearly the start of their romance, the pull of Nick becoming an eventual major sports star seemed to attract a bevy of young women to him. Green claims that while she did have quite a few jealous tendencies back then, her role as a cheerleader caused her to more or less ignore what her boyfriend might be up to outside of their relationship.
“When we did have ups and downs, it wasn’t anything too serious,” she states. “I was kind of like the territorial girlfriend. I was like, ‘Wait a minute, what is he doing, which hallway is he down?’ Things like that. Of course a lot of women were, I guess you could say, flocking towards him.”
Things seemed to somewhat settle following their high school years; but in 2013, Green came across a surprising situation by way of TMZ . Just as with Iggy Azalea eventually finding out about her fiance’s sexual dalliance with Keonna Green through the media (as explained here on the Inquisitr ), Green would ultimately discover that Young was dating the “Fancy” star in the very same fashion.
“I found out through TMZ [in 2013] that they were dating,” Green said. “I inquired [Nick about it] and there was [a] denial. A couple of months into them being an item, [I found out that] she was moving into [his] house, so I called her.”
During their initial meetup, things were relatively calm between the two young women.
“When I was dropping my son off, we met in the living room,” Green continued. “I said, ‘please, out of respect, don’t post photos of my son [on social media, because] I didn’t want people thinking I’m not in his life.’ She was like, ‘I completely get it.’ [It was then that] reality set in: me and Nick were over.”
Except, they very much weren’t; at least, not when it came to Nick Jr.
In spite of their contentious split, Green and Young often maintained a happy front for the sake of their son. It was during one of these interactions last September, however, when things got a little too friendly between the former couple. According to Green, following a day-long excursion to Six Flags Magic Mountain, the two rekindled their sexual relationship and in turn, conceived the child that she is now carrying.
“We got caught up in the moment and it just happened,” Green admitted. “[I told him,] ‘Nick, you cannot be sloppy. You need to be honest [with Iggy about this.]’ He said, ‘I don’t want to hear it.’ I don’t know what was going on in his household [at that time], but me and Nick have lots of history.”
It’s partially due to that history that she feels no shame for her part in Iggy Azalea and Nick Young’s split — that, and the fact that Nick has allegedly been with several other women, according to a scornful Twitter message shared by Azalea last week.
“No, I didn’t feel guilty,” Green admitted. “I’m not the reason they separated. She found out what everyone else found out, [and] I’m definitely not going to apologize for being in love with a man who I have a lot of history with. I do wish her [future romantic] success and hope that she can get through this difficult time.”
As for where things currently stand, Keonna says that there is no connection, sexual or otherwise, between she and Nick at the moment. However, she is open to the idea of the two of them reconciling one day in order to raise their family, including the baby girl that Green is now carrying (some media outlets have incorrectly reported that she is having a boy).

“I will definitely give it a chance if he comes back and says, ‘I’m really going to make this work this time,’ she explains. “Why not? But, if there was ever any inkling of disrespect … I’m going to be raising a daughter. I would want to let her know that she deserves the world.”
Iggy Azalea and Nick Young have yet to comment on Green’s eye-opening interview.
