Actor Michael Douglas ‘ son reportedly was attacked in jail in retaliation for agreeing to testify against other drug dealers.
Cameron Douglas is serving time in a Pennsylvania prison for drug offenses.
The New York Post claims it has the exclusive source for the Cameron Douglas prison assault:
“The jailed, heroin-addict son of Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas suffered a broken leg and finger behind bars after a crime-family captain put a $100 bounty on him for being a ‘rat,’ a prison insider says.
“The source says that Cameron Douglas, 34, mysteriously suffered the injuries after a New York City mobster offered payment to anyone who hurt the drug-dealing scion during flag-football season this fall at Loretto, Pa.
“Douglas got wind of the scheme and dropped out of the league, which ended in October, but soon after turned up in the sick bay looking like he’d been mauled by the Giants defensive line …
” ‘He broke his femur, which is hard to snap, and had to have a rod inserted,’ says the source. ‘He told health services staff that he hurt them playing handball. You don’t break a femur playing handball.’
“Douglas … was inadvertently exposed as a turncoat by his shrink during a bail hearing in 2010.”
The Celebrity Dirty Laundry website , which opined that “snitches get stiches,” notes that Cameron Douglas was supposed to receive a lighter sentence in exchange for his testimony:
“He made a deal with prosecutors and testified against his dealers, Mexican immigrant brothers David and Eduardo Escalera. It allowed him to get a 5 year deal instead of 10. However, Cameron had almost 5 more years added on to his sentence after he was caught smuggling in heroin and a prescription narcotic while at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.”
The younger Douglas also reportedly wants to sue the prison doctor for malpractice according to the Post for misdiagnosing his broken leg as a sprain.
The Post adds that Cameron has allegedly “gone gangster” while inside, by getting numerous tattoos and spending a lot of time lifting weights.
