ABC has finally announced the fall premiere dates for our favorite shows!
According to Variety , the television network released the lineup on Tuesday, revealing that they would be starting their premieres a week early with the season 23 premiere of Dancing with the Stars on September 12 (typically networks follow a tradition of starting their premieres the week of September 19, the day after the Emmy Awards).
One of the major changes with the 2016-2017 ABC lineup is the elimination of Shonda Rhimes’ Thursday night “TGIT” block, as the sixth season of Scandal has been moved to mid-season to accommodate Kerry Washington’s pregnancy, and moving to its time slot is the brand new legal drama Notorious , which stars Covert Affairs’ Piper Perabo and Graceland’s Daniel Sunjata. Despite the change, Shondaland’s Grey’s Anatomy will remain in the 8 p.m. time slot and How to Get Away with Murder will continue airing at 10 p.m.
