Robert Mueller has now obtained enough proof to serve two more people with indictments: former national security adviser Michael Flynn and his son, Michael G. Flynn, NBC News reports . Mueller and his team are pressuring Flynn in the wake of Paul Manafort and business associate Rick Gates being indicted. Mueller is investigating whether or not the elder Flynn was truthful in speaking to federal agents about alleged money laundering issues or any contact he had with foreign contacts.

“The elder Flynn was paid $530,000 last year for work the Justice Department says benefited the government of Turkey…Flynn also was paid some $35,000 in 2015 by Russian state television for a speech in Moscow at a gala where he sat next to Russian President Vladimir Putin.”

On Twitter, the Michael G. Flynn account, @mflynnJR , notes that he is the proud son of retired General Michael Flynn, while describing in his Twitter profile that “truth will prevail.” According to the comments being published on Twitter, both Flynn men are receiving plenty of feedback on what’s being called prescient wording, as folks quote Flynn’s GOP convention speech claiming he’d be in jail if he had done a tenth of what Hillary Clinton did.

Now politicos are noting that the oldest Flynn is faced with the choice of saving his son or turning on President Donald Trump, with the former national security adviser appearing to be the latest target in Mueller’s look into any Russian interference in the 2016 election. Flynn only lasted 24 days in his role prior to being fired by Trump.

While Mueller’s spokesperson did not make a public comment, NBC News reports that federal investigators are in talks with plenty of witnesses to determine the details of Flynn’s lobbying work, attempting to uncover any money laundering issues or lies told to federal agents.

Flynn’s decision – protect Trump or secure his son’s freedom – could be the whole enchilada. Red alert time for pardons. https://t.co/EkPNHSw7PL

With Flynn’s son also at the heart of the investigation, having worked closely alongside his dad, pressure is being placed on the older Flynn to potentially choose being spilling information about President Trump in order to save his son. By cooperating with investigators, the older Flynn might also help himself, but in the process, potentially harm Trump and lead the president closer to impeachment.

With news about Flynn breaking, it appears Mueller’s investigation is heating up and moving faster. Flynn would represent the first person who was a current or former Trump administration official who has been charged with wrongdoing by Mueller.

As news breaks that Flynn might get indicted, worth remembering that Trump improperly tried to send him a direct signal several months ago. https://t.co/dnBYPGzq5O
