An Amber Alert was issued out of Virginia on Monday, seeking the location and safe return of 4-year-old Annabelle Doretha Hope Richardson. The little girl was reportedly abducted from Charlotte Courthouse, located at 400 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte County, on November 9. It is not immediately known why authorities waited five days to issue an Amber Alert in the case of Annabelle Richardson; investigators claim that the preschooler could be in “extreme danger.”

While authorities are releasing very few details regarding the events that led up to Annabelle’s kidnapping, they are saying that the abduction took place at approximately 5:00 p.m. last Wednesday evening, according to BNO News. According to the Amber Alert for Annabelle Richardson , the suspect in her kidnapping is her own biological father.
He has been identified by investigators as Dylan James Richardson, a 24-year-old Caucasian male. While he is described as Annabelle Richardson’s biological father, he does not have legal custody of the 4-year-old girl. And, again, while law enforcement have yet to release extensive details regarding the abduction or the family situation that Annabelle a party to prior to her abduction, the Amber Alert issued in the case specified that investigators believe that the child is in or could be in extreme danger.
It is believed that Annabelle Richardson and her alleged abductor may be traveling in a burgundy Chevrolet van. It is believed to be a 1995 model, and the license plate number listed in the Amber Alert is VMG2332.
Dylan Richardson, Annabelle’s father and suspected abductor, is described as having blue eyes and brown hair. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds with a lean, wiry frame.
Annabelle is described as having green eyes and blond hair cut very short. She is just 3 feet tall and weighs only 22 pounds. She does have one very distinguishing feature; a broken, black front tooth.

Because Annabelle Richardson is believed to be in extreme danger while in her biological father’s custody following last week’s abduction, law enforcement is begging the public’s help in finding her and bringing her home safely. Per the Amber Alert in the case, anyone who may see Annabelle, her alleged abductor Dylan Richardson or their burgundy Chevy with Virginia plates is asked not to approach them.
Rather, investigators have asked anyone who spots Annabelle and/or Dylan to call 911 immediately. Anyone who may have tips in the case or other information that could help law enforcement bring her Amber Alert to an end is asked to call either the Virginia State Police at 1-800-822-4453 or Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office at 434-542-514.
Investigators currently have currently released very little specific information about this case, despite the fact that Annabelle Richardson was reportedly abducted by her non-custodial father nearly a week ago. However, law enforcement may have an idea where the suspect could be taking Amber Alert subject Annabelle Richardson.

As NBC 10 Philadelphia reports, according to the Amber Alert for Annabelle Richardson , it is possible that her abductor could be traveling to New Jersey with the endangered 4-year-old girl. Police haven’t indicated where they got the inclination that Dylan Richardson could be taking his non-custodial daughter to New Jersey, so it’s unknown if the suspect might have family or other connections in the area, or even to what part of New Jersey the pair may be heading.
Despite the lack of concrete information being made public regarding her abduction, the public has turned to social media in force to get the word out in hopes of bringing the little girl home safe and sound. As people in Virginia, New Jersey and across the nation come together to keep an eye out for Annabelle Richardson, many are desperately wondering why law enforcement waited nearly a week to issue an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old who is potentially in “extreme danger.”
