O.J. Simpson is a free man after being released from prison last month. The former footballer has been spending his time in Las Vegas for the past couple of weeks, readjusting to life on the outside. Many people seem to be wondering what Simpson is up to these days, but he’s been keeping himself off of the media’s radar — for the most part.
On Halloween, Simpson was photographed handing out candy to children. According to CBS Sports, Simpson tossed on an old football jersey and greeted trick-or-treaters with a huge smile (and candy, of course). He even took photos with some of his visitors, which may or may not have been the highlight of their night.
Simpson doesn’t have a job (he should be collecting his pension from the NFL soon) and hasn’t done any post-prison interviews. However, since all we know about him is that he’s an apparent fan of Halloween, some media outlets have gone ahead and made up stories about The Juice, because why not?
One of those “reports” came from the National Enquirer . The tabloid made claims that Simpson, who was very good friends with Robert Kardashian, has been binge watching some television — trying to catch up on pop culture or something of the sort. The gossip rag claimed that Simpson has been on a serious bender — of the Kardashian variety. With all kinds of rumors surrounding Simpson and the Kardashian family (there’s the one about him having pictures of Kim Kardashian in his prison cell, and then the one about him being Khloe Kardashian’s biological father), this story almost seems believable. But it’s not.
According to Gossip Cop , Simpson is not sitting home watching the popular reality television series . And, before anyone asks, he’s not joining the show either (despite the dollar signs that might be in Kris Jenner’s eyes).
Gossip Cop reports that Simpson has been enjoying life the best that he can. He has been going on, dining in various restaurants, enjoying a few beers, and shopping.
Since Simpson’s parole hearing, it has been widely speculated that he’ll be moving to Florida soon (his two children with Nicole Brown live in the Sunshine State). So far, no word on when he plans to move.
