T-Mobile has officially launched its Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plans. The company first announced the move in August, promising to bring fast mobile data speeds to customers at a fraction of the cost associated with other mobile carriers.

The new plans feature no overage fees, no throttling and zero caps on data that can be used. The plans also have the option to be added directly to an existing customers voice and text plans.

Pricing for the new nationwide data plans start at just $20 per month when added to a $50 per month Value Voice plan or $30 per month when added to the $70 per month Classive Voice and text plan.

T-Mobile on Wednesday made the new option available through local T-Mobile stores and through the T-Mobile.com website.

Customers expecting the blazing speeds found on the AT&T network and Verizon network however are out of luck. T-Mobile does not rely on a true 4G LTE network but instead the slower and older HSPA+ technology. Despite its older data protocols T-Mobile is promising speeds up to 42Mbps.

To help celebrate the company’s new smartphone friendly unlimited data plans T-Mobile has also dropped the price of the HTC One S. Customers can now pick up that phone with a $50 mail-in-rebate when they sign a two-year contract. In case you have been keeping tabs that means the HTC One S is available for free after the rebate.

Do you think T-Mobile’s nationwide unlimited data plans will resonate with customers who are not willing to pay massive fees for just several gigabytes of data?
