Teen Mom 2 Kailyn Lowry isn’t exactly shocked that her marriage to Javi Marroquin has come to an end.
According to a new report, Kailyn Lowry’s marriage to Marroquin has been over for months and while the reality star and mother of two didn’t announce the news of their split until last month, they reportedly separated last year.
“They’ve been unhealthy for a while, and [Kailyn Lowry] knew divorce was inevitable,” an insider close to the former couple told Us Weekly on June 2. “There was always a disconnect.”

Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin got married during a courthouse wedding in 2012 and one year later, they celebrated their marriage with a more elaborate ceremony at an aquarium outside of Philadelphia in Camden, New Jersey.
At the time of their wedding, Kailyn Lowry was seven months pregnant with her and Marroquin’s first child, and in November 2013, their son, Lincoln Marshall Marroquin, arrived. Lowry is also mom to six-year-old Isaac from her previous relationship with Jo Rivera.
The magazine’s source went on to shut down any reports of cheating, claiming Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin parted ways in December 2015.
“They’ve been separated since December, so if Javi was with anyone else overseas it wouldn’t really be cheating,” the source explained. “The bottom line is they were two strong personalities who both want to be in control living together. They clashed.”
In April, an In Touch Weekly report claimed Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin had both been unfaithful in recent months. According to the magazine, Kailyn Lowry spent time with her ex-boyfriend, Jo Rivera, while in Los Angeles to attend the MTV Movie Awards, and after the show, they allegedly went back to her hotel room. Meanwhile, added the magazine’s insider, Lowry suspected Marroquin was seeing someone in Qatar.
As fans have seen on recent episodes of Teen Mom 2 , Kailyn Lowry’s husband was deployed earlier this year and is expected to remain overseas for at least a couple more months.
Kailyn Lowry confirmed she and Javi Marroquin were getting divorced on May 24.
“We’re trying to do the best we can for our kids because they are what really matters,” Kailyn Lowry told the Daily Mail at the time.

Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin have been facing divorce rumors for the last few months, and on Teen Mom 2 , she recently opened up about the difficulties of having a husband in the Air Force.
“It’s rough, it’s hard,” Kailyn Lowry told her friends during a scene from last week’s show. “[Deployment is] a lot harder on him than I thought it would be. He doesn’t feel supported.… We lose things to talk about. His day-to-day is the same, we have been fighting. Right now I feel like is the time for me to focus on myself.”
Also during recent episodes of Teen Mom 2 , fans have seen Kailyn Lowry growing closer to her ex-boyfriend, Jo Rivera, and his fiancee, Vee Torres. While the group used to bicker back and forth as they attempted to co-parent Isaac, things are now much more civil between them, and at one point, Kailyn Lowry opened up to Rivera about her marital problems with Marroquin.
