Amanda Bynes is reportedly seeking treatment for mental health issues, according to People .
Amanda’s lawyer, David Esquibias, released a statement regarding the actress’s treatment and asked for “privacy.” He also addressed some of the recent rumors that have been circulating, which claim that Amanda — who recently celebrated being 14 months sober — is suffering from addiction issues.
“Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false,” said Esquibias.
The statement comes one week after Amanda was reportedly in court for her conservatorship. At the time, it was suggested that Amanda was going to voluntarily enter a mental health facility for treatment. However, she reportedly did not check herself in to facility immediately.
Since then, there have been conflicting reports about Amanda and her personal life.
Initially, it was rumored that Amanda and her fiance Paul Michael, who she first talked about on Valentines Day, had split. All photos of the couple had been scrubbed from her Instagram page — seemingly confirming the split. On March 9, however, Amanda posted a photo on Instagram of the two together. Paul later spoke out and said their social media accounts were hacked, claiming that they had never broken up.
Most recently, Amanda took to the popular social media app to post an ultrasound photo — suggesting that she is pregnant. The photo had a caption which read, “Baby on board.” Her fiance also shared the same photo writing, “baby in the making.” However, both posts were quickly deleted soon afterward.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Amanda’s lawyer spoke out about the ultrasound photos. The attorney said that he had “launched an investigation” into the posts and had them “successfully removed.”
In a new statement, Esquibias again asked for privacy in regard to Amanda’s personal life.
“We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better.”
The same statement regarding Amanda was released to Us Weekly . However, a separate source told Us Weekly that “Amanda is just barely pregnant and she is very happy.”
The She’s the Man actress has not spoken publicly to confirm or deny her alleged pregnancy, nor has she discussed checking into a treatment facility. She also has not posted anything on Instagram since last week. While she has a verified Twitter account, she has not made any posts since September of last year.
