UCLA Shooting: 2 Dead, Active Shooter Is White Male Dressed In Black [Breaking]

News is breaking about a shooting on the campus of UCLA in the Engineering Building No. 4. As seen in the below Twitter status from the account of the UCLA Newsroom , authorities have confirmed that there are two shooting victims at UCLA. Police have also confirmed that due to the UCLA shooting, the UCLA campus has been placed on lockdown status.

According to the UCLA Newsroom , two people have been confirmed dead in the UCLA shooting .

Police confirm 2 dead in shooting at UCLA. Police are sweeping Engineering IV building for a possible shooter. Watch for updates.

According to CNN , the two people who are confirmed dead in the UCLA shooting were in the UCLA Engineering Building No. 4.

The below Twitter account from Kara Leung shows security footage of police going from one door to the next during the UCLA shooting.

Kara also noted that the bomb squad also appeared at UCLA in response to the UCLA shooting. It was a fact that Leung called unnerving.

Leung provided more insight to the UCLA shooting and the effect it had upon UCLA students and their emotions as it unfolded.

“This is going to be an eventful day. News says two people have been shot, nothing on condition. Please send your prayers and thoughts.”

As seen in the below Twitter post from the Wrap , police are advising students to shelter in place due to the UCLA shooting. If travelers are not near the UCLA campus, they should not go to the UCLA campus due to the UCLA shooting. Police don’t have all the information about the shooting yet, but they are methodically going through buildings and sweeping the area.

The most recent tweet from the LAPD HQ Twitter page reveals that a citywide alert has gone out for Los Angeles residents to stay away from the campus of UCLA.

The UCLA Newsroom is also posting updates to their website about the UCLA shooting as they become available.

The latest tweet coming in to the LAPD HQ Twitter account reports that the UCLA shooting involves an active shooter in the Engineering Building No. 4. As such, folks on the UCLA campus are being advised to avoid that area surrounding the active UCLA shooter.

Initially, the Twitter account from UCLA Newsroom updated the public about the UCLA shooting happening in Boelter Hall at UCLA. According to Google Maps, UCLA’s Boelter Hall is listed with an address within Fowler Museum at 405 Hilgard Avenue in the heart of Los Angeles, California.

On Twitter, the shooting at the UCLA location has caused UCLA to appear at the top position under Twitter’s trending items, with nearly 50,000 tweets about the shooting coming into the social networking site thus far.

As reported by the Daily Bruin via their Twitter account as seen below, the UCLA shooter is wearing a black jacket and black pants.

The below CBS video showed police who were heavily armed entering the UCLA campus as fast as they could.

It isn’t just UCLA that’s on lockdown as a result of the UCLA shooting. As reported by NBC Los Angeles from their Twitter account as seen below, at least three elementary school in the vicinity of UCLA have also been placed on lockdown status because of the UCLA shooting.

According to MSNBC , a UCLA student told the press that everyone was running away as fast as they could in the melee of the UCLA shooting, as seen in the below tweet.

TMZ posted a link to the police scanner audio, as seen in the below tweet about the UCLA shooting. That audio speaks about a possible active shooter along with possible gunshots. The audio reveals that a UCLA student received a text from her friend about an active shooter.
