‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ DLC ‘Dark Brotherhood’ Now Available To PC Players

Wield the Blade of Woe, travel to the Gold Coast, complete Sacrament quests, and much more with the Dark Brotherhood DLC. PC players of The Elder Scrolls Online can now access the Dark Brotherhood DLC where they can now join the assassins’ guild. The brand new area introduced with the DLC offers new repeatable quests and new items for players willing to join the Dark Brotherhood guild.

Like all DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online , the Dark Brotherhood can be accessed as part of an ESO Plus membership. Players that are not subscribed to the game can purchase the DLC for 2,000 Crowns via the Crown Store. Either way, players that access the DLC will be granted the new Assassin personality after starting the main quest. Personalities are new to The Elder Scrolls Online and change the way a character acts overall. Specific emotes are also affected by the new personality, and a personality can be used in conjunction with skins, hats, and costumes.

The Dark Brotherhood also gives players a chance to level up through the Dark Brotherhood skill line. The new line is how players improve their Blade of Woe and their ability to get away with murder a little easier, according to the official site . The Blade of Woe is used by a character that is in stealth behind an NPC after following an execute prompt. The video below, which reminds players that The Elder Scrolls Online is rated M for Mature, shows off a few of the executions.

Both players that have access to the Dark Brotherhood DLC and those that do not will benefit from the base game patch that accompanied the DLC release today. The patch removes Veteran Ranks leaving the Champion System as the primary post-level cap form of progression. Champion Points are earned at max level and all characters on an account share access to their own pool of points. This system is a far cry better than having to earn Veteran Ranks on each character individually.

The base game patch also includes Grouping Tool enhancements like a ready check, a vote kick system, and an improved queue timer. Players will also notice that they can lock items so that they do not accidentally destroy them. Not to mention, as explained on the Bethesda website , this base game patch available to all players also makes improvements to the game.

“In addition, we have numerous changes and improvements for previous DLC game packs including a new District capture system for Imperial City, and rebalancing for the Imperial City dungeons.”

Alongside the DLC and the base game patch, an update to the Crown Store is also live today on PC. Several new items are now purchasable for players looking to expand their in-game collections. As the Inquisitr reported , a new pet and mount are now available. The pet is a Sylvan Nixad while the mount is the new Highland Wolf Mount. Players can also pick up doses of poison from the Crown Store, and additional character slots are also offered in the store. In addition to the eight character slots players can use for owning the game, up to four more can be purchased from the Crown Store. Each character slot is 1,500 Crowns each which is $15. Do not forget that subscribing to a month of The Elder Scrolls Online also comes with a 1,500 Crown stipend.

With the release of the latest patch on PC, a subscription to The Elder Scrolls Online is even more valuable. Players subscribed to the game now have access to a nearly endless crafting bag where all crafting materials can be stored. A subscription is required to deposit items into the crafting bag; however, players that let their subscriptions lapse can still use the items located in the endless crafting bag.

The Dark Brotherhood DLC will be out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 14. The DLC, the base game patch, and Crown Store items mentioned earlier will be available on that date for The Elder Scrolls Online players on consoles.
