Kaley Cuoco, who plays the role of Penny in the hit comedy series The Big Bang Theory , seems to be relieved that her divorce settlement has been finalized and she can finally move on with her life. According to Movie News Guide , the divorce filed by Kaley Cuoco and her ex-spouse Ryan Sweeting has been officially granted, and the legal documents prove the same.

The romantic relationship started as a sweet journey with two lovers vowing to stand by each other in sickness and in health. However, just a few months after their marriage, Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting cited irreconcilable differences and applied for divorce. As often happens in these situations, the sweet memories soon started to fade as Ryan Sweeting demanded alimony worth $50 million.

There were indications that things might not go smoothly for Kaley Cuoco in the divorce settlement, as her spouse was claiming an alimony amount that was equivalent to a large proportion of Kaley’s entire net worth. However, to Kaley’s relief, the couple had entered into a prenuptial agreement. The Big Bang Theory star had agreed to provide spousal support to Ryan by assisting him financially in the event of a divorce, and according to the agreement, Kaley Cuoco would be paying Ryan $165,000 as requested by him. Additionally, the 28-year-old Sweeting can retain whatever cash and gift certificates he had in his possession during the divorce proceedings. Kaley Cuoco also agreed to reimburse a payment of $266,000 to Ryan’s two personal trainers.

Kaley Cuoco must be thanking her lucky stars that she convinced her former spouse to enter into a prenuptial agreement with her since, thanks to the agreement, she has retained the $72 million fortune that she had earned due to her work on the The Big Bang Theory .

News.com.au reports that she earns $1 million from every episode of the series, which will be returning for Season 10 .

In addition to her vast fortune, the 30-year-old sitcom star also gets to keep the couple’s homes in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
