The 2016 Tony Awards Nominations have been announced, with the mega hit play Hamilton scoring a record 16 nominations.

Earlier this morning, former Book of Mormon co-stars Andrew Rannells and Nikki M. James announced the full list of the 2016 Tony Awards Nominations at New York City’s Paramount Hotel. Rannells is a Tony Nominee having been nominated for his work in Book of Mormon, while James is a Tony Winner for her role as Éponine Thénardier in Les Miserables .
Hamilton has taken the Broadway world by storm over the past few months, so it is no surprise the show was nominated for a number of Tony Awards. Along with the hit show, a number of Hollywood heavy hitters among the list of very talented people who have been nominated for Broadway’s highest honor.
