Some bright spark has done a twist on the final scene of Star Wars: The Force Awakens with Rey handing Luke Skywalker a microphone instead of that famous lost lightsaber. He then proceeds to lipsync the Celine Dion’s version of the song “All by Myself.”

While many Star Wars fans were a tad disappointed that Luke Skywalker’s appearance in the latest Star Wars movie was reduced to just a cameo at the end of the film, what better way to celebrate today’s “May The 4th Be With You,” than by watching a really clever spoof of that ending starring Rey and Luke Skywalker?

In the movie, we see Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) finally tracking down Skywalker (played by Mark Hamill) on a distant planet where the former hero is, indeed, all by himself. Her intention is to present Skywalker with his lost lightsaber.

However, thanks to a team by the name of David Unger Music, we get to see the film’s closing scene in a whole different light, backed by Celine Dion’s powerful song, “All by Myself.”

Rey walks up to our hero, who is standing with some rather appropriate karaoke equipment and instead of handing him his lightsaber, Rey passes a microphone to Luke Skywalker. With a little video editing magic, the guys get Mark Hamill ‘s character to belt out the well-known 1996 song.

You can enjoy this short epic alternative ending below. Oh, and wait ’til you see that tongue!

Fans have taken to Twitter to praise the video spoof.

While fans were disappointed to only see a glimpse of Skywalker in The Force Awakens , they do have the forthcoming eighth Star Wars movie to look forward to, but only in December 2016. However, in that film our hero is probably more likely to use the coveted lightsaber instead of karaoke equipment.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy “May The 4th Be With You” on Wednesday. It is that wonderful time when fans pay homage to the Star Wars saga that has brought joy to many over the last few decades.

According to the Metro , the term “ May The 4th Be With You ” came from a very unusual source, when it was used in 1979 to congratulate Margaret Thatcher for becoming Britain’s Prime Minister. Whether the Iron Lady understood the reference is unknown.

However, as most Star Wars movies have been released in the month of May, it has continued with force (forgive the pun) since then. Important to note is the fact that May also celebrates creator George Lucas’ birthday.

Besides everyone heading to Twitter to use the hashtag, #MayThe4thBeWithYou , it turns out Disney and LucasFilms are using the date to raise over $2 million for charity under the title “Force for Change.”

Also, besides Star Wars fans having fun, some environmental groups like Greenpeace are using the day for good with the odd Yoda pun:

Destroyed the trees, we have.

Besides that, some tweets are just plain cute.
