Orange is the New Black fans are anxiously awaiting the Season 3 premiere but there is one character that will not be returning.
According to E! News , Jason Biggs has confirmed that he will not be appearing in the third season of the Netflix original series.
Biggs has been a part of the cast since the first season. He played the role of Larry Bloom, Piper Chapman’s (Taylor Schilling) fiancé. The characters later broke up when Piper went to prison for being a part of a drug cartel, and Piper reunited with her ex-girlfriend Alex Vause (Laura Prepon). During the second season, Larry starts a new relationship with Piper’s best friend Polly (Maria Dizzia), effectively ending his engagement with Piper.
The start of Orange is the New Black focused mainly on Piper and Larry’s current situation. Since it premiered in 2013, the show has started to elaborate more on each of the Litchfield prison inmates’ stories, rather than focus solely on Piper and her relationship with Larry.

“They’re not focusing on Larry at the moment,” Biggs said in an interview. “Larry will not be in Season 3, but there’s always a possibility he can come back.”
According to Variety , the American Pie star is currently working with Elisabeth Moss and Bryce Pinkham in The Heidi Chronicles on Broadway. The show opened on February 23 at the Music Box Theatre.
Biggs is not the only character who will be absent from Season 3. Pablo Schreiber, the corrections officer known to fans as Pornstache, will not be returning to the show. However, his mother played by Mary Steenburgen, will.
Will Lorraine Toussaint, who joined the cast for Season 2 as Vee, appear in Season 3? During the Season 2 finale, we see her get hit by a van, driven by an escaped inmate, and left to die. While fans assume she is dead, it was never confirmed and she could very well survive the incident. However, Toussaint has reportedly been seen on set, sparking rumors that she will be returning.
There will be several new characters joining the cast as others leave. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Lori Petty, Blair Brown, and Ruby Rose will have roles this coming season.
Season 3 of Orange is the New Black is set to premiere in June.
