Prison Break is making a return. The X-Files has seen its return to television. 24 will be getting a reboot without Kiefer Sutherland. Gilmore Girls and Fuller House are hot news. Now, it appears as if Charmed is coming back, and the drama series will see all of the original witches return. At least, that’s the word going around and Alyssa Milano is on board, but what about the others? If they are up for a reunion, when and how is this all going to happen?
Alyssa Milano is quite busy hosting Project Runway: All Stars , being a mother of two, and doing so much more. It’s not like she doesn’t already have enough on her plate without having to take on any other projects, but she’s a go-getter.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight , Milano spoke of numerous things she is going through in life right now, but most of all motherhood. During the interview though, the subject of a Charmed reunion came up for some reason, and she was asked if it is something she would be interested in.
“We are all open for it!”
Yes, the actress who played Phoebe Halliwell, one of the three sisters on Charmed , admitted that she isn’t the only one who wants a reboot or reunion of the show. It lasted on The WB for eight years and also included Holly Marie Combs as Piper Halliwell, but things changed in 2001.
That is when Shannen Doherty, who played Prue Halliwell (the eldest sister) left the show after just three seasons. She was seen as the strongest and most powerful sister, and was replaced by Rose McGowan who played Paige Matthews, the youngest half-sister of the family.
It isn’t known who would be back for the Charmed reunion or how it would necessarily happen, but Milano appears to believe it is absolutely imminent.
“It seems like that’s going to happen any second. I just feel like with all these reunions, and we still have such a cult following, that I feel like someone’s going to put that together at some point, and we’re all totally on board for that!”
Once again, it’s curious to know who exactly she means when she says that “we’re all” on board for a reunion of Charmed .
Still, this is not total confirmation that a Charmed reunion, reboot, remake or anything is coming to light with the original cast. It was just Alyssa Milano speaking out on things, but fans have taken the news and are absolutely running with it.
Now, a reboot is happening, but Milano isn’t officially part of it and doesn’t believe any of the other original cast members are either. That has caused Milano to speak out once again.

I would imagine until CBS makes a decision on their reboot a true reunion type of show will not be happening due to CBS owning the rights.????

Shannen Doherty is battling breast cancer. Rose McGowan hasn’t really spoken out on a reunion, and she has a number of other projects. Holly Marie Combs has done work here and there, but one would think that at least a couple of them would be on board if the show was to want them back.
Now, it was a few years ago that a possible Charmedmovie idea was being thrown around, and that included the blessing of both Milano and Doherty as reported by Rickey.

Obviously, any of the bad blood that once existed between Doherty and Milano has been squashed and tossed aside. Fans are happy about that because it leaves the door open for a Charmed reunion or remake or cameo in the reboot or something.
Alyssa Milano has a very busy life right now, and that’s with all her gigs on top of mothering two children. Rose McGowan, Shannen Doherty, and Holly Marie Combs all have things going on too, but a Charmed reunion is always a possibility and a dream. Sure, a reboot is coming, but what will it be without the original cast being involved in some way or another.
