While the public version of the iOS 9.3 beta 2 released to beta testers last Friday, no news regarding the release date of jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2.1 has been updated.

Apple is believed to be ready to release the final version of iOS 9.3 to the public in February, but no jailbreak tool has been made available for iOS 9.2.1.

“Pangu and TaiG, two of the powerhouses that develop jailbreak tools for all iOS devices have delayed the release dates,” reports NeuroGadget .

Apple has constantly been working to discourage iOS hackers to develop jailbreak tools by patching exploits used by TaiG and Pangu in the past. However, these teams have been working continuously to find loops in the system and crack the mobile software to let users customize their device the way they to.

Rumors also say that the teams working to jailbreak iPhones are awaiting the full release of iOS 9.3 before they publicly release their iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak tool. This is possible because they can take advantage of keeping their ideas secret to prevent Apple from patching the exploits in the new version.

With all the rumors and news surrounding the release of iOS 9.2, it’s also been reported that Pangu’s partner PP might have the tool and that the details are not yet released. It’s almost impossible to think that the jailbreak community will let go of the system so easily.

After the release of iOS 9 in October, Apple has gone on to release five different important updates for their devices. iOS 9.0.1 was released on September 23, 2015 and had a fix for the bug that caused the “Slide to Upgrade” screen to freeze when the users were updating from earlier iOS versions.

iOS 9.0.2 was released on on September 30, 2015 with a fix for the lock screen bypass issue while iOS 9.1 was released on October 21, 2015 with support for the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, plus the 4th generation Apple TV.

The December update to iOS 9.2 delivered support for the Arabic language and USB Camera Adapter, allowing users to transfer photos from their iPhones to any iDevice without being forced to sync to a computer first. The latest update made available to the public has been iOS 9.2.1 on January 19.

Meanwhile, it has also been rumored that an Italian named Luca Todesco has been able to jailbreak iOS 9.2.1, as he provided a screenshot of his iPhone 6 with Cydia running on iOS 9.2.1. Todesco was sent a lot of requests on Twitter to share the jailbreak release.

“iOS 9.2.1 while it was still in the beta phase, was already jailbroken by a popular iOS hacker. The hacker is @qwertyoruiop , also known as Luca Todesco, and he has posted a screenshot of his iPhone 6 running Cydia on iOS 9.2.1 beta. It is still being debated whether or not the hacker’s claim is genuine. But Luca was credited by Apple recently for pointing out a vulnerability in iOS 9.2, so it is highly possible that the hacker has succeeded in creating an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak.”

Todesco replied, citing that the system still has bugs and it’ll take some time for the final jailbreak tool to be released. Chances are he might team up with Pangu and TaiG and work to fix all the bugs and vulnerabilities to release the final iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak tool for public.

I can however now claim full private untethered jailbreak, which the jailbreak in my video did not cover.

Everything right now is only a speculation and it is strongly recommended that users don’t use any versions of previously released jailbreak tools until they backup all files and information on the device.
