In anticipation of Yeezy’s new album, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar have collaborated on a new track called “No More Parties in LA.”
Together, Kanye and Kendrick make up two of the most critically acclaimed names in hip-hop. Fans of both artists have been salivating over the possibility of them joining forces — a fantasy finally realized by “No More Parties in LA.” Also joining in on the track is Madlib, who snags a production credit.

“No More Parties In LA” featuring Lamar was released in conjunction with “Real Friends” in a sort of double-bound single from West. The latter track features vocals from Ty Dolla $ign, samples from Frank Dukes and Boi-1da, and drum programming from Havoc of Mobb Deep.
Unfortunately, Kanye had some issues with the initial upload to Soundcloud. The Kendrick collaboration as well as “Real Friends” were not up to the scrupulous artist’s standards and were promptly removed. Seeing his hungry followers rip and publish the substandard version across the internet, West begged them to delete any inferior version of his work with Lamar.

Hardcore fans still got a surprise by seeing Kendrick’s name on the track, but they knew something was on the way. West’s spouse and international celebrity Kim Kardashian dropped hints last night that today would see the release of some new music from her husband.

Many publications are reading into Kim’s tweet as an indication that we’ll be seeing a new track from Kanye every Friday until the full LP drops. West used this same model for his classic album My Beautiful Dark Twist Fantasy in 2010, then called G.O.O.D Fridays. Snapping up names like Lamar will be invaluable in pumping up hype for Swish , with crossover fans fixing their eyes on Kanye in rapt anticipation.
Kendrick is, however, just one of a hoard of A-list musicians who will be featured on Kanye’s upcoming record. Paul McCartney worked with West on “Only One” and “FourFiveSeconds,” which also featured Rihanna. Vic Mensa, Travi$ Scott, Post Malone, Theophilus London, Sia, and Allan Kingdom also all made contributions. A full album is expected to finally reach listener’s ears in February, though its unknown if the public will get to hear a full version of the collaboration with Lamar before then.
Kanye West was smart to pull Kendrick Lamar on to his team for his new record with “No More Parties in LA.” The Los Angeles native was unstoppable in 2015, obliterating the competition when it came to year-end lists of critics’ favorites. Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly was featured on the majority of “best of” round-ups and took the top spot for dozens of publications.
