Guns N’ Roses recently revealed they will be headlining Coachella 2016, as previously reported by the Inquisitr . Today the official artist lineup for the Coachella festival has been released, and among the several artists, groups, and bands, Chris Stapleton will be the only country artist featured at the 2016 event.
As reported by Rolling Stone , Stapleton’s appearance at Coachella this year is pretty special, considering that country artists are usually relegated to the sister festival, the Stagecoach festival. The annual music and arts festival is slated for two weekends, April 15-17 and April 22-24.

Since 2010, the number of Coachella attendees has gradually skyrocketed from 75,000 to nearly 200,000 at Coachella 2015. In 2015, the Coachella festival sold nearly 198,000 tickets and brought in a total of $84 million. When the festival first made its debut way back in 1999, the attendance numbers were around 20,000. Artists like Rage Against the Machine, Tool, and Beck were just a few of the headlining acts. But Guns N’ Roses reuniting to perform this year will definitely be one of the main attractions, if not the main attraction, at this year’s Coachella festival.
LCD Soundsystem, Guns N’ Roses, and Calvin Harris will more than likely be the biggest names performing this year. Pop artist Katy Perry has been quoted as saying “The lineup always introduces the best of the year for the rest of the year.”
Tickets to this year’s Coachella festival will go on sale at 11 a.m. PST Wednesday, January 6, 2016. The full lineup for the festival can be viewed below.
