News of Anne Hathaway’s pregnancy has been around for months, but the Oscar-winning actress has never confirmed the news — until now.
Back in December, Anne Hathaway was spotted in Los Angeles running an errand. She was wrapped in a black and white scarf, which made it difficult for the paparazzi to see her growing baby bump, the Daily Mail UK reported.
On January 4, Hathaway, 33, surprised everyone by posting a picture of herself on Instagram, sporting a red bikini and proudly showing off her belly. The actress spent a day at the beach and noticed the paparazzi taking shots of her. Instead of getting mad at the invasive paparazzi and waiting for the pictures to go public, Hathaway decided to turn the tables on the paparazzi and show off her baby bump herself.
“I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter,” Anne captioned the photo.
Anne Hathaway began dating actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman in 2008. The two got engaged in 2011 and were married in 2012. In 2014, Anne expressed her desire to have children in an interview with E! Online .
When asked whether she is ready to have children, Hathaway answered in the affirmative, saying, “Yeah! I hope so! I am looking forward to it.”
It seems that her dreams of becoming a mother are finally about to come true. According to an insider close to Anne who shared information to E! Online , she is thrilled about becoming a mother.
“Anne is feeling really healthy. She is working out and trying to stay in shape during this pregnancy. Her energy levels are high. She loves knowing that a baby is inside her and this pregnancy is so exciting.”
The insider also said that Anne’s husband provides all the support that she needs.
“Adam is such a good husband to her. He is very loving and helps if she needs anything,” the insider said.

Sources say that Anne Hathaway is in the second trimester of her pregnancy. This is the first child for Anne and Adam, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the couple decides to add to their growing family within a few years. In an interview with the Telegraph back in 2012, Anne said that she would like to have as many children as she can afford.
“I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was 16. I’m 30 and I want to have a family of a certain size. Look. I’ll start with one healthy kid, but I;d like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know?
“I’d like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially, but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special. I’ve had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is: get a movie, get a movie, get a movie. Now I might have to say: get a baby, get a baby, get a baby.”
Despite being pregnant, Anne Hathaway is still busy with work. She is now working on her new sci-fi film entitled Colossal , and her movie Alice Through The Looking Glass , wherein she will reprise her role as the White Queen, will premiere later this year.
