A new development about the highly-rumored release date of Samsung Galaxy S7 emerges as one top Chinese network carrier apparently confirmed the smartphone’s launch timeframe. The upcoming flagship smartphone will be revealed before the first quarter of 2016 ends, if this supposed confirmation is to be believed.

Particularly, the Samsung Galaxy S7 release date appears to be set for March, 2016, according to China Mobile, one of the top Chinese carriers, as reported by G For Games . The company recently held an event showing their roadmap for the first half of next year, which reportedly unveiled, as well, the feasible arrival schedule of Samsung Galaxy S7.

A photo taken during the China Mobile event originally posted on Weibo shows SGS7, believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S7, on the second row and the fifth column from the left. The table displayed on the image noted March, 2016, as the smartphone’s release date, G for Games explained.

This supports earlier rumors that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S7 in February during Mobile World Congress 2016, and will hit the shelves a month after, particularly the mid part of March, according to PhoneArena . Based on Samsung’s release history, its three latest flagship devices had a launch timeframe from February to March, and became available on the market April, 2015.

In addition to the release date, the price for the Samsung Galaxy S7 was seemingly disclosed, as well, during the event, as the photo of the chart shows the device will be worth 3,000 Yuan, or around $465 when converted.

If this pricing detail is true, it looks like Galaxy S7 will be much more affordable than its predecessors. To compare, Gizmochina , in its report earlier this year, revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 comes in at 5,288 Yuan. Meanwhile, the U/S. price tag for the 2015 flagship smartphone is worth $579, specifically via the T-Mobile carrier.

A video below shows a review for the current flagship mobile device from the South Korean tech giant, which will soon be replaced by the Galaxy S7.

Samsung has not revealed any official information yet regarding the specs of Samsung Galaxy S7, but rumors are insistent that the Galaxy device maker will equip the 2016 smartphone with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display screen. There might be two different versions to arrive, depending on its chipset, a Snapdragon 820-equipped Galaxy S7, or a variant with Exynos 8890, according to PhoneArena .

Form factor and general design will most likely be patterned with the S6. For the primary camera, the Galaxy S7 might have a more powerful sensor, as well as a new camera technology called Britecell, according to a separate and more comprehensive specs report on PhoneArena for Samsung Galaxy S7.

“Britecell refers to the new RGBW pattern and how it improves light sensitivity, as well as signal-to-noise ration in low-light environments. Rumors also claim that this new sensor will be a 20-megapixel one, a jump from the 16-megapixel sensor used in the S6.”

Samsung Galaxy S7 might also come with the “universal and conveniently reversible USB Type C ,” the report added. Various sources also noted that the Galaxy S7 will deliver a fast-charging functionality, promising to give an entire day of battery refill in only half an hour.

And following Apple’s 3D Touch for its iPhone 6S, Samsung is also purportedly going to feature a pressure sensitive display functionality for the S7, which will enable users to “tap harder on an icon to get additional options,” as well as to “tap lighter to open it up.”

A MicroSD slot to expand the device’s storage memory, a feature lacking from the S6, might return upon Samsung Galaxy S7’s release, the report also cited.

Aside from the alleged release and pricing details for Samsung Galaxy S7, it looks like China Mobile also revealed its plans for other upcoming smartphones, such as the Huawei P9 and Samsung’s two other new devices from the A lineup, the A7 and A9, during its year-end event.
