Christmas is a time to spend with family, friends, loved ones, and to enjoy food, presents, and great company. It’s supposed to be a day where you stay at home with everyone or travel around from house to house to eat as much as you can and spread good cheer. Still, sometimes you forget something or need a little extra, so here are the hours for stores and restaurants on Christmas Day 2015.

If you’re looking to get in some hardcore last-minute shopping, then as Inquisitr reported earlier, the Christmas Eve 2015 hours are what you need to know.

Knowing that, there are going to be some stores and options available to you, if you really need them, on Christmas Day itself. There won’t be a lot of them, but some locations will be open for you to head out to, just in case the need arises.

Please remember to check with your local stores and restaurants, as not every location carries the same hours.

Stores? Well, there aren’t going to be a lot of them that will be open on Christmas Day or even Christmas night, so you may not want to plan on shopping. Some retailers will open up into the evening to prepare for the “Day After Christmas” sales, but many will stay closed for the whole holiday.

Even with numerous retail locations adding late-night shopping hours through the week prior as reported by CBS News , they still aren’t going to be open on Christmas Day itself.

Stores Closed on Christmas Day 2015:

  • Academy Sports
  • Apple Store
  • Bed, Bath & Beyond
  • Best Buy
  • Big Lots
  • BJ’s Wholesale Club
  • Costco
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods
  • Dollar General
  • GameStop
  • Gap
  • Hobby Lobby
  • IKEA
  • JCPenney
  • Kmart
  • Kohl’s
  • Macy’s
  • Marshalls
  • Meijer
  • Michaels
  • Nordstrom
  • Old Navy
  • Office Depot/Office Max
  • REI
  • Sears
  • Staples
  • Target
  • TJ Maxx
  • Toys ‘R Us
  • Walmart

Now, there will be some grocery stores open on Christmas Day if you forgot something, need more of something, or burn something. Make sure to call ahead and check, though, as numerous groceries will have very limited hours if they have any at all.

Grocery Stores and Pharmacies open on Christmas Day 2015:

  • CVS
  • Family Dollar

Should you need more food or just not feel like cooking at all, there will be some restaurant options for you to head out to. With many restaurants being franchised out, make sure again to call ahead to see if they’re open before you try to go grab a table.

Here are the restaurants that are open on Christmas Day 2015:

  • Applebee’s
  • Baskin-Robbins (Closing early)
  • Boston Market
  • Buca di Beppo
  • Buffalo Wild Wings
  • Denny’s
  • Dominos
  • Dunkin’ Donuts
  • Golden Corral
  • IHOP
  • Jack in the Box
  • McDonald’s
  • Panda Express
  • Perkins
  • Pizza Hut
  • Ruby Tuesday
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House
  • Sizzler
  • Sonic Drive-In
  • Starbucks Coffee (Not all locations will open)
  • Subway
  • Waffle House

Last, but not least: are banks going to be open on Christmas Day 2015? Well, according to Go Banking Rates , the majority of banks will not be open on the holiday itself. Actually, you really shouldn’t expect any to be open on Christmas itself.

As for Christmas Eve , some will be open, but their hours will be much reduced. You will need to call your local branch to find out their hours, but don’t expect really any banks to be open past 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve at the latest.

Christmas Day 2015 is right around the corner, and you need to get your holiday shopping done before the holiday actually arrives. Store and restaurant hours are going to be very limited, and some won’t have any at all on the holiday, but that’s how it should be, isn’t it?
