But Sonja Morgan may be thinking about possibly upping the stakes when it comes to the show. The new season has already started filming, but Sonja isn’t planning on getting in front of the camera until she sees an increase in money.
According to a new tweet, Sonja Morgan is now hinting that she is asking for more money to film The Real Housewives of New York. Over the weekend, several reports surfaced claiming that Sonja, Ramona Singer, and Luann de Lesseps are all refusing to film before they get more money. The filming for the new season has begun, but the ladies want more money. The reports originally started as mere rumors, but it sounds like Sonja is now confirming that they want more money to film The Real Housewives of New York.
Based on her tweets, it sounds like Morgan is indeed asking Bravo for more money. Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps have not made any comments on social media in regards to getting more money, but the ladies have not been spotted filming the show.

“[Holding out] could work against them,” a source said according to Radar Online , adding that “Bethenny is close with [executive producer] Andy Cohen. She has a long list of friends she can just find to replace them.” The report claims that Bethenny Frankel is filming the show for a reported $1 million. Of course, Frankel’s return to The Real Housewives of New York could have saved the show. After the fourth season, many housewives were fired, and a new cast was hired. Bethenny helped find Aviva Drescher for the show, so she could help Andy Cohen find replacements for Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Ramona Singer. It is unknown how much the ladies are currently earning, but one can imagine that Sonja Morgan isn’t getting close to $1 million per year to film the show. Only a few women in the Real Housewives franchise are making close to that salary, including Bethenny and NeNe Leakes. It is also possible that Lisa Vanderpump is getting close to $1 million — maybe as a compensation to deal with Brandi Glanville last season. But maybe Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Luann de Lesseps should rethink their decision to ask for more money. As the report points out, Bethenny could easily find some replacements. Plus, half the cast has already started filming the show. “LuAnn, Sonja and Ramona have banded together [in holding out for more],” another source has revealed, adding, “They have not come to terms. The negotiations are always down to the last minute, but now the show’s started filming … The others are not filming because they have not signed their contracts.”

Bethenny Frankel, Carole Radziwill, and Dorinda Medley have already agreed to the contracts, and they have started filming the show. The ladies have been spotted around the city of New York, and pictures are surfacing on social media of the ladies munching on brunch on New York. Clearly, these ladies are pleased with their deal to film The Real Housewives of New York . Only time will tell whether Sonja Morgan will sign her contract to keep filming.
