The Samsung Galaxy S III has now launched in 28 countries around the world while the United States continues to wait for the highly-received Smartphone to reach North America.

First announced at a London press conference in early May the flagship smartphone is the most technologically advanced and sought after Google Android device to date.

The Samsung Galaxy S III features high end specs that include a quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor that operates the devices 4.7-inch Super AMOLED 720p HD display alongside an 8-megapixel camera on the backside and a front-face 1.9-megapixel camera.

Also featured on the high-end smartphone is 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity and the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The phone is also super skinny at just 8.6 millimeters thick. The Samsung Galaxy S III also offers a nice 2100 mAh battery that can support talk times of up to 21 h 40 min (2G) / Up to 11 h 40 min (3G).

The international version of the Samsung Galaxy S III is already available for pre-order in several colors at Expansy-USA and carrier-branded versions with subsidized pricing are expected to arrive by this summer.

The T-Mobile version of the Galaxy S III has been tipped for a June 20 release date in metallic blue in both 16GB and 32GB versions.

If the device meets its June 20 ship date in the United States it will be the first quad-core handset with Google Android 4.0 to launch in North America.

In the meantime the “pebble blue” version of the Samsung Galaxy S III has been delayed after 600,000 back panels for the smartphone were trashed for an undisclosed reason.
