Ben Affleck has denied having any sort of non-professional relationship with his children’s former nanny, but a new report suggests otherwise. According to Radar Online , Ben allegedly came clean to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, about his relationship with nanny Christine Ouzounian , and he told her that what happened between them happened afte r he and Jen decided to split.
“Ben took responsibility for his relationship with their former nanny… The relationship had started after the couple had already split up, but Jen was humiliated when the relationship went public. Christine often complained to Ben that Jen was being overly critical of her work with their three kids. Jen had felt that she was being unfairly attacked by Ben, and couldn’t understand why at the time. They were trying to co-parent their kids but Ben was just being a real bear to deal with. Now she realizes what was really going on,” said a source. “Ben was truly sorry when he apologized to Jen, and she thought it was a very good step moving forward,” the source added.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner seem to be doing okay, especially over the past few weeks. The two were spotted leaving a therapy session together, but sources say that the two have no plans to reconcile. They are just doing their best to make things work given the circumstances. The couple has decided to raise their three children together, and Ben has been living on the property (albeit in a guest house) so that he can be there for his kids as frequently as possible.
Aside from denying the nanny rumors, Ben Affleck hasn’t said anything more about his split from Jennifer Garner. He has managed to keep the details of the divorce private, and he’s doing his best to stay focused on what’s most important right now: Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4, and Samuel, 20 months.
Ben Affleck and Christine Ouzounian may or may not still be in contact. Some reports indicate that the two still talk on a daily basis, while others insist that this relationship was nothing more than a “rebound” for the Gone Girl star. According to the San Jose Mercury News , Ben Affleck had to change his phone number to make sure Ouzounian couldn’t contact him. It is unknown if this is actually true, of course.
